March 2026 highlights on HBO Max in Iceland
In March, HBO Max viewers will be entertained by comedy series starring well‑known actors, as Steve Carell’s new show Rooster premieres and Lisa Kudrow’s HBO Original comedy The Comeback returns with a new season. For the psychological thriller fans the new French HBO Original series Privilèges, set in a Parisian luxury hotel, is a must-watch.

DTF ST. LOUIS
Premieres 2 March
DTF St. Louis is a limited series about a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise… that leads to one of them ending up dead. The seven-episode series stars Jason Bateman, David Harbour, Linda Cardellini, Richard Jenkins, Joy Sunday, Arlan Ruf, Peter Sarsgaard, and Chris Perfetti, and is written and directed by showrunner Steven Conrad. New episodes will be released weekly.

ROOSTER

Rooster, a new HBO Original comedy series, is set on a college campus and centers on an author’s (Steve Carell) complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive). Alongside Carell and Clive, the series stars Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, and Lauren Tsai. Rooster is created by co-showrunners and executive producers Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses, with Steve Carell also serving as executive producer.

At the Parisian luxury hotel Citadel, former inmate Adèle (Manon Bresch) lands a job as a bellhop thanks to the reintegration program implemented by the hotel's all-powerful and corrupt director, Édouard Galzain (Melvil Poupaud). As Adèle uncovers the inner workings of the hotel, she realizes that her freedom and future are deeply intertwined with the power struggles taking place behind the scenes. Ambitious staff, wealthy clients and external networks clash in a silent battle for dominance, turning the hotel into a stage for manipulation and betrayal. Little by little, Adèle rises to power, establishing herself as an unpredictable and essential force.
